About Climb the King and the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center
Climb the King is a summer-long fund raiser for the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center. Participants hike, bike or run to the top of Snow King and other local peaks and collect pledges for each summit. Climb the King is an integral part of the funding for JHCCC.
Sign Up as a climber, sponsor or both. You can also sign up in person at the Counseling Center at 640 East Broadway.
Free visor. Be sure to sign up early to receive a free visor, while supplies last. You can pick your visor up at the Kick Off Event in June or at the JHCCC.
Start climbing and record your total summits weekly via www.climbtheking.org
Dates: Climb the King runs all summer, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.
Participation is free. We ask each climber to raise a minimum of $25 in pledges. Collect pledges from friends, family and coworkers. Also, make a pledge in support of yourself to contribute to this cause.
Free chairlift ride down. All participants receive a free ride down courtesy of Snow King; a $2.00 per ride value.
Rules
- Keep track of your climbs and update your summit count often at www.climbtheking.org.
- Be safe—get off the mountain in case of bad weather.
- Hydrate! Be aware of your limits.
- Be courteous—especially with dogs.
Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center has served Teton County since 1974. We provide over 15,000 hours of service per year to more than 1,000 people. This fundraiser is essential to the Counseling Center as it continues its mission to promote mental wellness and provide essential mental health services in Teton County, regardless of a person's ability to pay.
