Climb the King for the Counseling Center

Snow King Resort

Thank you to Snow King - The Town Hill for making this event possible.

About Climb the King and the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center

Climb the King is a summer-long fund raiser for the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center. Participants hike, bike or run to the top of Snow King and other local peaks and collect pledges for each summit. Climb the King is an integral part of the funding for JHCCC.

Sign Up as a climber, sponsor or both. You can also sign up in person at the Counseling Center at 640 East Broadway.

Free t-shirt. When you sign up, either online or in person, we will have a Nike t-shirt and Snow King downloading pass ready for you at the Counseling Center. Please stop by during office hours (M-F 8-5) to pick up.

Start climbing and record your total summits weekly via www.climbtheking.org

Dates: Climb the King runs all summer, from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend.

Participation is free. We ask each climber to raise a minimum of $50 in pledges. Collect pledges from friends, family and coworkers. Also, make a pledge in support of yourself to contribute to this cause.

Cool Prizes. We offer great prizes for our top climbers and for those who help raise the most donations. In years past we awarded an iPod, electric blue cruiser bike and numerous gift certificates. Look for even more prizes this year.

Party. Climbs are tallied and prizes are awarded at the final party in September. You don’t have to be present to win.

Free chairlift ride down. All participants receive a free ride down courtesy of Snow King; a $2.00 per ride value.

Rules

  1. Keep track of your climbs and update your summit count often at www.climbtheking.org.
  2. Be safe—get off the mountain in case of bad weather.
  3. Hydrate! Be aware of your limits.
  4. Be courteous—especially with dogs.
